Job Summary:
A leading iGaming business is looking for a legal and compliance expert to support the business and ensure full adherence to Danish gambling laws and licensing conditions. This role leads all regulatory matters, including the management of gambling licenses, development of internal compliance policies, and communication with regulatory bodies and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure full compliance with Danish Gambling Authority rules and license conditions.
- Handle the application, renewal, and maintenance of gambling licenses.
- Oversee regulatory filings, reporting, and audits.
- Advise internal teams (Marketing, Finance, Tech, etc.) on legal and regulatory matters.
- Draft and implement compliance policies and procedures, including responsible gambling and anti-fraud measures.
- Monitor regulatory changes and adjust internal processes accordingly.
- Serve as the main contact for regulators and represent the company in official meetings and audits.
- Conduct internal compliance reviews and staff training.
Requirements:
- Law degree; additional compliance certification is a plus.
- 7+ years’ experience in legal/compliance roles.
- Solid understanding of Danish gambling legislation.
- Experience writing internal policy documents and conducting audits.
- Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills.
- Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented.
Bonus Skills:
- Background in cryptocurrency regulation (Denmark or EU).
- Strong relationship-building skills across departments and with external regulators.
